Bring the Goldbloods to your stage

Thompson Tales Publishing licenses stage adaptations from the world of The Legend of the Thompson Goldbloods to community theatres, schools, nonprofit organizations, and small independent organizations.

Three productions

  • The Tale of Iron Gulch — Festival Performance. A 35-40 minute festival adaptation. $100 for the first performance, $50 for each additional. License this production.
  • Legend of the Thompson Goldbloods — Full Production. An 80-90 minute full stage adaptation. $175 for the first performance, $75 for each additional. License this production.
  • The Storyteller's Tale — Solo Performance. A 45-50 minute solo stage adventure currently in development. $75 for the first performance, $40 for each additional. Licensing coming soon — preview the listing.

How standard licensing works

  1. Choose the production and the number of performances, from one to six. The price updates automatically.
  2. Enter your production details on the product page and check out. Licenses are digital — nothing is shipped and no shipping address is needed.
  3. We review your details and email your written performance license within 48 hours.

Standard license orders are reviewed to confirm production details before your performance license is issued. Your order is the payment for the license; performance rights are granted when Thompson Tales Publishing issues the license.

Considering a non-standard license?

Please submit your details through Request a Quote if you are planning any of the following:

  • Seven or more performances
  • Revenue-based licensing
  • Professional productions
  • Commercial productions
  • Touring productions
  • Larger-scale productions
  • Other unusual or nonstandard licensing or performance arrangements

Revenue-based licensing. The applicable base license fee plus 5% of gross ticket sales for the licensed production run. The normal additional-performance charges do not apply to the revenue-based option. Upon approval of a nonstandard licensing arrangement, the producing organization receives a Shopify invoice and payment link.
